Comedy
I have been an active member of the greater Boston comedy scene for over ten years, mostly performing improvisational comedy. I began taking lessons at ImprovBoston in 2012, and comedy quickly grew into my favorite hobby.
Active Projects
- Big Allowance: I am currently a player on this long-form improv team, performing most weeks at Union Comedy in Somerville since early 2022. We begin each show with a series of monologues based on a single word, which we use as the inspiration for each week's totally improvised comedy.
- True Tales of the Illuminati: This podcast sitcom imagines the Illuminati conspiracy as an incompetent bureaucracy pulling off bizarre schemes throughout world history. I am the voice actor for various featured historical figures. True Tales is written by Max Kreisky, Kate Cargill, and Eric Trageser.
- Max and Marc Are Very Popular: The show where "anything can talk and even the props have plenty of character." Max Kreisky and I created this show in which we play two roommates sharing an apartment with a host of googly-eyed talking objects. Over the course of the show, we explore the rich and strange inner lives of teapots, cereal boxes, pumpkins and more as we grapple with day-to-day life in our whimsical world.
Past Projects
- Wizard Seeking Wizard: The dating podcast for wizards hosted by Chemistro the Match Mage, trapped in his crystal sphere between worlds, that broadcasts magical personal ads and has the audience vote on which wizzes to pair for encounters. Another brainchild of Max Kreisky, I wrote and voiced the wizard Meregund the Transfigurer and authored hosting segments and storyline later in the series.
- This Changes Everything: 'Change the past, face the consequences.' I created and directed this narrative-form improv feature, which played at ImprovBoston from 2017-2019. At each performance our heroes encountered a problem in the present, traveled back in time to fix it, and returned to the present to witness the hilarious, unintended side effects of their meddling.
